Bedroom Colors For Emotions

Bedroom Colors For Emotions

The most important room in a house is a bedroom. It is where we cool off, spending around one-third day time.

Although we may be catching some zzz's for most of that time, it is still the room you are in when you go to bed and wake up the following morning, so its design and decoration ' from the bedroom color scheme on the walls, to the bedroom furniture and bed itself' can play a major part in your mood, feelings and emotions over time.

Therefore, it is very important to take time in choosing a bedroom color scheme, based on your tastes and preferences. However, other factors may play a part, such as the bedroom's size and shaped.

10 Ways to Get More Friends on Facebook

10 Ways to Get More Friends on Facebook

We all like friends but from a business point of view having more friends on Facebook can be a real benefit. I have 2222 friends and counting. The nice thing about this is that I get at least 2 or 3 friends request per day as they see me on their friends profile and wonder who I am. They check out my profile and think yeah, i`d like to be friends with this guy. So how did I get to 2222 friends?

1. Don’t Be a Sell Out

If you try and sell to people the will do a one of three things, unfriend you, block you or report you. The last two are things that will get you banned and then you have to either beg to be put back on or start over.
Being real will get you more friends it is that simple. Lets think about how you use Facebook, would you add someone who is all about selling or is just a picture of a girl with big boobs but seems to post a lot about Viagra?
By being yourself you will connect with people who actually connect with you. 2222 friends is great but how many of them actually connect with me? The answer is 10% and of those, how many book on a web design course, again around 10%. These figures are actually quite good as they repeat each month. The only way I can do this is by not selling out and being real when it matters.

10 New Uses for Olive Oil

Olive oil is a good lubricant because its molecules easily slide past one another, thereby helping solid objects to overcome friction, says Wolke. Its film also fills up microscopic rough spots in surfaces, making them look polished and shiny.

Use Olive Oil to:

1. Shave. Olive oil can provide a closer shave when used in place of shaving cream.

2. Shine stainless steel. Many cleaning standbys, such as ammonia, can dull and even

corrode chrome and stainless steel. Olive oil, however, is a safe and effective shining agent.

3. Remove eye makeup. Dab a little under the eyes and rinse off with a washcloth.

My Boss Is Taking Credit For My Work. What Should I Do?

Question From The Job Seeker

I have been working in the marketing department of a telecommunications firm for the last four years. During this period I have gained a lot of experience and I enjoy doing my work. Moreover, not only do I finish my work on time and meet the deadlines, I am always prepared to pitch in whenever some extra hand is needed. I have a creative approach towards work and have proved to be very effective in problem solving. My problem is that whenever I come up with a great idea for a campaign, my boss presents it to the superiors and takes all the credit for it rather than acknowledging my contribution. Not only this, I have been regularly putting in extra hours at work, but instead of recognizing my hard work, my boss totally ignores my efforts. I agree that there is nothing wrong with doing extra work and taking initiative, but what are you suppose to do when your immediate boss passes your hard work as his own, rather than at least acknowledging that he was unable to accomplish that task on his own. Watching my boss constantly taking credit for all my hard work is discouraging and I think that I might be losing my motivation. I do not know how to deal with this situation. Should I talk to the boss or should I go to his superiors and tell them about his misconduct? May be I should just leave the job and look for a new one. I am totally confused and need help, please guide me to the right choice.

44 Resume Writing Tips

44 Resume Writing Tips

1. Know the purpose of your resume

Some people write a resume as if the purpose of the document was to land a job. As a result they end up with a really long and boring piece that makes them look like desperate job hunters. The objective of your resume is to land an interview, and the interview will land you the job (hopefully!).

2. Back up your qualities and strengths

Instead of creating a long (and boring) list with all your qualities (e.g., disciplined, creative, problem solver) try to connect them with real life and work experiences. In other words, you need to back these qualities and strengths up, else it will appear that you are just trying to inflate things.

What is sound?

What is sound?

Everything that moves vibrates, from the smallest molecule to the universe itself. As long as it is vibrating, it is making some kind of sound. We may not perceive the sound, as it may be below or above the threshold of our hearing. The human ear can hear sound vibrations between 20 and 20,000 cycles per second, although we also perceive sound by skin and bone conduction, ingesting and consuming it with the whole body.

Many cultures and religions revere sound so deeply as to believe it called the universe into being. For the Hindus, all was dark and quiet in the universe, until the first movement in the universe created the sound "AUM". It is the mother tone, containing the frequencies of all other sounds.

Bhutan's Royal Wedding

PUNAKHA, Bhutan -- The fifth Dragon King came down from his golden throne to place a silk crown upon the head of his bride. Monks chanted in celebration and she took her seat beside him Thursday, the new queen of the tiny Himalayan nation of Bhutan.

The wedding of King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck to his commoner bride, Jetsun Pema, has captivated a nation that had grown impatient with their 31-year-old bachelor king's lack of urgency to take a wife and start a family since his father retired and handed power to him five years ago.

Thousands of Bhutanese from the surrounding villages joined the king and queen at their wedding reception at a fairground outside the country's most sacred monastery fortress, where a slate of dancers performed traditional routines for the new couple.

Infrared Photography - 1/2

Infrared Photography

Due to the arrival of digital photography, we can take infrared pictures whenever we please, mixing them with “normal” ones, and see results on the spot, tweaking the settings to our hearts’ desires…All depends, of course, on how your camera sensor array reacts to the infrared " and, depending on the filter you are using, to the far red end of the visible spectrum.

At the first glance, a monochrome picture taken in infrared may look similar to just another black and white photograph. And then you start seeing differences: objects which are bright in visible light (like sky) look dark here, while some of those which are “normally” dark (green foliage) acquire a bright glow. An unusual and eerie feeling.

The most dramatic difference between the visible and infrared spectrum is in case of foliage: it does, indeed, become very bright in infrared. Photographs in infrared show quite unusual tonality, different than that to which we are used, and this may make them esthetically pleasing, at least in many cases. Which, of course, is a matter of taste.
